These are majority of the job functions that will be asked of you when hired;
-
Instruct students at the preschool level in accordance with the HighScope curriculum.

Develop and implement lesson plans that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Abeka curriculum.

Implement and model developmentally appropriate practice in all areas of instruction, including communication, and positive guidance strategies.

Implement classroom management strategies which promote student responsibility, problem solving skills, and student accountability.

Demonstrate the ability to supervise students in a safe, nurturing, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Work as a team player with a designated teaching team.* Log student attendance and meal counts daily.

Conduct developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and parent conferences within required collection periods.

Maintain well-written anecdotal notes,
-
Participate in teacher meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional development training as required.

Actively participate in special program initiatives including community activities and events.

All applicants must fully meet the minimum requirements for consideration.

1 year of teaching experience in a preschool setting, or equivalent experience working with children.

Proficiency of communication skills must include coherent speaking, reading, writing, comprehension, interpretation, and delivery of instructions in both the oral and written form.
