These are majority of the job functions that will be asked of you when hired;

 

* Instruct students at the preschool level in accordance with the HighScope curriculum.* Develop and implement lesson plans that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Abeka curriculum.* Implement and model developmentally appropriate practice in all areas of instruction, including communication, and positive guidance strategies.* Implement classroom management strategies which promote student responsibility, problem solving skills, and student accountability.* Demonstrate the ability to supervise students in a safe, nurturing, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.* Work as a team player with a designated teaching team.* Log student attendance and meal counts daily.* Conduct developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and parent conferences within required collection periods.* Maintain well-written anecdotal notes,* Participate in teacher meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional development training as required.* Actively participate in special program initiatives including community activities and events.*All applicants must fully meet the minimum requirements for consideration.*1 year of teaching experience in a preschool setting, or equivalent experience working with children. * Proficiency of communication skills must include coherent speaking, reading, writing, comprehension, interpretation, and delivery of instructions in both the oral and written form.*
